THE SUPERVISION PROCESS

A device with a camera, microphone and speaker
Passport - for international travel, or Driver’s Licence - for domestic use
An AHPRA registered health professional will join you via a Zoom link at the time of your appointment. They will begin by verifying your identity. They will then watch you open your rapid antigen test kit, guide you through taking the test, and will maintain constant observation of the testing panel as the fluid is added and for the duration of the waiting period.
At the end of the waiting period the supervisor will record your result on the certificate and email you a copy of the completed certificate. They will stay on the call with you until you confirm receipt of the certificate. Once you have verified the details are correct they will end the call.
This process for a one to two person test usually takes approximately 20 - 30 minutes from start to finish. For larger groups the appointment will run a little longer.
TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT
Please ensure you have checked the entry requirements for the country you are travelling to, and any travel requirements your airline has for your departure.
Select the amount of people being tested. We do offer a discount for multiple tests being done through the one supervision. This can only be applied if all of the participants are in the one location and are on the one Zoom feed. Our supervisors can not conduct a supervision with multiple locations dialling in.
Next select the time zone you will be in when taking the test. This will ensure all correspondence relating to your appointment will be in local time for you.
Select the date you wish to take your test. Available time slots will then be displayed for you to choose from.
Please select a time fitting to your entry requirements.
Next, fill in the information requested. This is for booking information only. A confirmation email will be sent to you at the completion of your booking which will contain a link for you to fill in the details of all the persons taking part in the supervised test.
You will then proceed to the payment section. Payment is required at the time of booking.
Once you have completed this process you will be sent a confirmation email containing the Zoom link for your appointment.

How does the CLUNGENE COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test work?
The CLUNGENE COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test is a type of test called an antigen test. When you have COVID-19, the SARS-CoV-2 virus (the virus that causes COVID-19) can be present in your nasal secretions. The CLUNGENE COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test can detect small parts of SARS-CoV-2 virus in your nasal secretions. These small parts of the SARS-CoV-2 virus are known as proteins or antigens.

Will this test hurt?
No, the nasal swab is not sharp and it should not hurt. Sometimes the swab can feel slightly uncomfortable or tickly. If you feel pain, please stop the test and seek advice from a doctor.
Can these rapid antigen tests be used at home?
Yes. These COVID-19 rapid antigen self-tests included on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods can be performed at home.
Do your rapid tests work for all covid-19 variants (delta, omicron, alpha etc.)?

How effective are rapid antigen tests compared to PCR tests?
PCR tests are still viewed as the gold standard for diagnostic testing.
Clinical PerformanceThe clinical performance of CLUNGENE COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test for self-testing was evaluated in a prospective study in Greece between June 2021 and July 2021. A total of 578 laypersons (of which, 122 within 7 days post symptom onset) were sequentially enrolled. No additional training or instructions were provided. Self-sampling with nasal swabs and self-testing were conducted by participants using the COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test. For comparison, to each of the participants, an RT-PCR testing was performed by professional sampling with nasopharyngeal swab. The COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test showed a sensitivity of 95.1% (95% confidence interval: 89.7%-97.7%, N=122) and a specificity of 100% (95% confidence interval: 99.2%-100%, N=456) compared to RT-PCR.

What do I have to do if I test positive on a rapid antigen test?
It is likely you have COVID-19. Note: the result is positive even if the second line is very thin/faint.
What to do next:
Get a standard COVID (PCR) test immediately.
Tell the testing site about your positive rapid antigen test.
How do I use these rapid antigen tests?
Each test kit comes with instructions for use.
1. Take a sample
Before you perform the test, wash your hands.
Make sure to only touch the swab by the handle when you take it out of the packaging.
Turn your head slightly back. Insert the cotton swab into one nostril. As you feel resistance, gently push the swab forward two centimeters (parallel to the roof of your mouth). Make sure to not exert pressure while doing so.
For an approximate total of 15 seconds, turn the swab 4 times against the inside of your nose and then remove it.
In the other nostril, use the same swab.
2. In the extraction buffer, dissolve the sample
Add extraction buffer to the tube with the swab.
Rotate the swab gently more than 10 times by squeezing the tube at the bottom.
As you pull the swab out of the tube, continue to squeeze the sides of the tube so that all of the liquid is forced out.
Make sure the dispenser cap is firmly attached to the tube.
3. Fill the test cassette with the dissolved sample
A flat surface should be used to place the test strip.
Place the tube vertically over the circular marked area (not the rectangular result area).
You must drop exactly four drops on the field.
If necessary, gently squeeze the tube.
4. Review your results
After 15-30 minutes, read the test result.
Results that are read after more than 30 minutes may not be accurate.
